If you are searching for the Punjab Kings Vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Match Scorecard then it is the best place for you. Here we are sharing the latest updates on PBKS vs RCB

RCB prevail in this match to secure their place in the playoffs; Punjab remain in an uncertain situation.

Sam Curran acknowledges that their batters let them down today, but credits Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli for their efforts and states that the bowlers put forth every effort possible in achieving results.

1. Harpreet Brar (WK)

Royal Challengers Bangalore were taken aback when Punjab Kings put them behind in their chase of 177 for victory, being reduced to 129/6 after 20 overs before Chris Gayle and Lokesh Rahul rallied their sides together and helped their side reach 179 for 5 in the final over.

In the death overs, they proved unstoppable by smashing 41 runs off four balls from Royal Challengers Bangalore bowlers. Furthermore, they managed a 91-run partnership in just 57 balls!

At this juncture, Gayle was at his most destructive, unleashing some devastating blows against Bangalore bowlers. He hit Mohammed Siraj for two sixes and one four in one over to show his destructive intent. Rahul too was in search of quick runs with impressive hitting that took the game away from Bangalore.

Harpreet Brar’s impressive spell posed a threat to the Royal Challengers Batting (RCB) chase. He dismissed Rajat Patidar and Glenn Maxwell cheaply to put pressure on their hosts before smashing Virat Kohli for both boundaries and sixes within one over.

Faf du Plessis, captain of RCB, was less than satisfied with their batsmen’s efforts and advised them to play within their limits more carefully.

Punjab Kings were not at their most fluent in their batting performance on Tuesday. After losing Padikkal early, they struggled to score runs before Gayle came back into play and hit some big runs during middle overs. He eventually retired having scored 77 off 49 balls before leaving to rejoin other batters; unfortunately they ultimately fell short by 34 runs; now must try and gain ground against Mumbai Indians next time around.

2. Jitesh Sharma (WK)

After a slow start to the season, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have found their stride and are on track to qualify for playoffs. Their form has fluctuated recently and could put them at risk of missing out on making the top four; their next match against Punjab Kings could prove pivotal as they battle to remain viable contenders.

Jitesh Sharma has attracted both fans and selectors through his aggressive strokeplay as an opening batsman for Vidarbha in domestic T20 cricket and Punjab in the IPL. Making his List A debut in 2013, this Amaravati-native soon went on to become an integral member of India’s T20 side.

Jitesh has appeared in 9 T20Is for India so far and scored 100 runs at an average of 14. He was appointed vice-captaincy of Punjab Kings ahead of this season and may soon lead them.

Jitesh has had an uneven tournament but will look to rediscover his form from last season’s IPL in this clash against an underperforming Punjab side. The keeper-batsman may look to break out his form again with this match against Punjab.

He mistimed his hook shot against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the previous game and ended up getting caught at short midwicket by Lockie Ferguson, so he will hope to avenge this gaffe by giving Punjab an improved chance at success in this match.

Punjab decided to bat first after losing the toss and found themselves struggling at bat, being bowled out for just 182 runs in 20 overs. Sam Curran and Sikandar Raza scored 29 and 28 runs respectively but could not take their team forward. Bhuvneshwar Kumar stood out with two wickets for 32 runs; this marked their third successive win and propelled them up the points table into seventh spot with eight points from 11 games, needing one more win to qualify for playoffs.

3. Prabhsimran Singh (WK)

Prabhsimran Singh has batted well in this match. He hit a six off of the first ball and continued scoring runs for Punjab. On his next delivery he hit another six for four before smashing another six for six with another four hits through covers for another four runs scored en route to reaching fifty off 33 balls, helping his side reach 241/7 on an unpredictable pitch.

Faf du Plessis won the toss and will look to set up his team with an opportunity to post a big total on this pitch.

Glenn Maxwell and Yash Dayal have provided Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) with effective bowling spells that have kept their opponents at bay; however, Shikhar Dhawan and Shashank Singh have shown strong form to give themselves a chance against RCB and take control of this matchup.

Yash Dayal will make his debut for the Punjab Kings today and hopes to have some breakthroughs with the ball. Although he has struggled at times before, he plans on performing better tonight.

He’s currently making his debut against Alzarri Joseph and doing well so far for Punjab side. Though not getting many chances yet, he’s done everything required well so far.

Mohammed Siraj took two wickets against Jitesh Sharma during his bowling spell and secured one key scalp. He showed great improvement with his bowling action as well as appearing more assured when approaching the wickets.

Faf du Plessis of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is looking for victory after his team lost against Chennai Super Kings on Tuesday. Their opponent currently occupies ninth position with an alarming net run rate of -0.799 and are therefore in danger of relegation.

He won the toss and will look to make an early start with their innings, assisted by Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, and Cameron Green. They’re on an unbeaten streak at this venue against Punjab and hope to extend it.

4. Rilee Rossouw (WK)

Punjab Kings must win this match to remain competitive in the tournament and RCB need a win to stay within striking distance of qualifying for playoff spots. A loss will force either side down the table, making it harder for them to reach one of the four spots.

Rossouw was an absolute star in PBKS’ opening Power Play innings against England, hitting an unbeaten 55-ball 96 unbeaten with ease to set them on their way. Renowned for his agile wrists and bowling prowess alike, Rossouw took some time adjusting to international cricket but now finds his footing.

He is in his fourth game at the ICC Champions Trophy and looking to secure his position on South Africa’s national team. He has performed well both domestically and in Bangladesh as part of South Africa’s recent tour squad; currently on an excellent run of form he hopes that 2022 World Cup could be his.

Jonny Bairstow steps up to bat next, starting his innings off right by hitting Siraj’s first delivery for four runs off a fuller ball to midwicket region off an over-deliberate delivery from Siraj. Shikhar Dhawan also benefits from Siraj’s opening over, hitting an extra cover boundary off Siraj for four that appears to cause Maxwell some distress due to a fielding error on Maxwell’s part.

PBKS begin their over with a single to the covers for an easy start to their PowerPlay. Kagiso Rabada then strikes, bowling Dhawan for a duck off his first delivery from Kagiso Rabada’s third over. His pull shot off Shashank Singh was caught easily at long on and both deliveries after that went for singles as they completed an exceptional PowerPlay.
