Lucknow Super Giants Vs Rajasthan Royals Match Scorecard

Lucknow Super Giants Vs Rajasthan Royals Match Scorecard is very important in the world of IPL history because it give you accurate facts and  information about winning team.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson played key roles in RR’s victories over CSK, which they hope to repeat against LSG. Meanwhile, Nandre Burger will make his IPL debut instead of Shimron Hemyer.

Yash Thakur to Sanju Samson: FOUR! A low full toss on the stump line was moved across and ramped over deep fine leg for six.

Bowling

LSG’s top order collapses as RR bowlers dominate in the early overs. Nandre Burger picks up an early wicket by dismissing Ayush Badoni; soon afterwards Deepak Hooda joins him back in the pavilion as well. Meanwhile Yash Thakur has an underwhelming start allowing runs at will.

Mohsin Khan to Dhruv Jurel, four! Wide once more and Dhruv sends it over wide third man for four. Hooda also makes two runs off his second ball of this over; then on a low full toss on the middle from Yash he flicks it away for two!

Samson took advantage of Yash’s extra chance by hitting straight back for six.

Sanju Samson and Dhruv Jurel have combined to form an unbroken fourth wicket stand of 121 runs – this represents their highest partnership so far this game.

Before this match started, Rajasthan took an early lead in the Powerplay and quickly looked to increase it, losing only one wicket during this period. Their fortunes were greatly assisted by an excellent innings from Jos Buttler who hit three sixes and five fours during his innings.

Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur should provide ideal conditions for spinners. Rajasthan Royals may opt to bat first if conditions permit, and should be able to score a significant total on this pitch.

But it will be fascinating to witness if LSG can play their natural game under these trying circumstances. They will hope for an improved showing from their last home match against Mumbai Indians where they were reduced to an embarrassing 78/7 after 20 overs, hoping their batsmen step up their display and maintain momentum for this crucial clash against Rajasthan. A lot is at stake here – as LSG have fallen to the bottom of the table after losing three consecutive matches this season and hope their batsmen step up big time during this clash against Rajasthan.

Batting

Rajasthan Royals began their IPL 2024 campaign with an easy win against Lucknow Super Giants at Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Nicholas Pooran (64 not out) and KL Rahul both played admirably as LSG made an effort to chase 194 for victory but it proved too much. Trent Boult, Nandre Burger Ravichandran Ashwin Yuzvendra Chahal Sandeep Sharma all contributed with wickets as they helped seal victory for Rajasthan Royals.

After an initially slow start, RR batsmen began to find their feet following the powerplay and were able to make serious inroads on the scoreboard. Jos Buttler (34) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (24) scored 80 runs together for second wicket to give RR some momentum in their run chase.

Mohsin Khan eventually put an end to their run when he picked off Jaiswal with the second delivery of an over. Later, his leg-spinner had Buttler caught at deep point by Ravi Bishnoi for 34 off 17 balls.

However, RR captain Sanju Samson rose to the occasion and led from the front with an elegant innings of 71 off 33 balls, unfazed by pressure of chasing such a difficult total; instead keeping his cool as he seamlessly transitioned through gears seamlessly. Dhruv Jurel proved an invaluable ally by smashing six fours and two sixes during his 52-ball knock.

Though they had experienced setbacks earlier in their innings, Royals were well on course to meet their target with plenty of time remaining as they entered their final five overs. If they want to avoid another collapse like earlier on in this innings, spinners in death overs will need to be targeted and wickets taken from here onwards in order to secure victory and avoid another collapse like what occurred earlier in this innings. RR now lead with 16 points from eight games played – six ahead of second-place Kolkata Knight Riders; plus two wins are away from reaching play-offs this edition of tournament.

Fielding

Under lights, RR have set LSG an impressive target to chase down and will require strong performances from their batters in order to win this match. Skipper Sanju Samson has been outstanding with the bat this season and scored his fourth half-century of IPL 2024 this time round, hitting six fours and two sixes in this innings alone to help take them towards an acceptable total score.

Even after losing Yashasvi Jaiswal early, Rajasthan Royals (RR) have managed to steady their innings thanks to Samson and Dhruv Jurel, whose partnership has contributed 121 runs for their side at this point in time. RR are looking comfortable at this point in play.

Lucknow’s pitch contains some dew, which should aid spinners like Ravichandran Ashwin to bowl more effectively. He has yet to take a wicket but has bowled effectively during death overs and must take more wickets for his team.

LSG bowlers have struggled to limit RR’s run rate and should strive to improve their death overs in order to make this match more competitive. Sanju Samson and Dhruv Jurel have shown good form with bat and need to maintain this momentum when facing death overs.

Mohsin Khan has been exceptional during RR’s Powerplay. Earlier, he bowled an outstanding over to Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal; unfortunately this over was cut short by a spidercam malfunction which snapped within just two balls, leading technicians rushed onto the field to repair it as quickly as possible, yet leading to lengthy delays in play.

Yash Thakur to Dhruv Jurel: Leg-side wide; no review called since batsman did not flick it away from himself; Jurel goes for big shot, scoring off first ball but second was easily caught at long on by Bishnoi for 13 runs in an over. They move closer towards 200+ score but must remain cautious over final few overs as LSG look to slow their run-rate by setting traps or slowing the run rate against Rajasthan.

Results

It was crucial for Rajasthan Royals (RR) to break out of their slump and secure another win in IPL 2024. Victory could have seen them move past Chennai Super Kings into third place and further Sanju Samson’s quest for India’s second glovesman role by hitting four sixes against LSG to help RR triumphantly reach home by seven wickets.

Lucknow required more than the fifties from Nicholas Pooran and KL Rahul if they wanted any chance of finishing in the top four. A big total would help sustain those hopes.

Nandre Burger bowled his third over, which was hit for 17 runs as KL Rahul struck three fours and one six – an exceptional innings, yet his fall at short fine leg proved costly for RR.

Sanju Samson hits his fourth four off Yash Thakur! With all eyes on him and hoping for a win for their side, Samson takes an aggressive approach with this full toss off stump full toss which Yash Thakur jumps up and gets both hands on before accidentally spilling it!

Sanju Samson hits an epic six over deep fine leg to ensure Rajasthan won by an emphatic margin, striking off a full toss and hitting it spectacularly over deep fine leg for six. A stunning shot off full toss that sealed their victory at eight wins out of nine games played, this page provides information regarding their head-to-head record between Lucknow Super Giants and Rajasthan Royals across all competitions; including matches played, maximum points won and winning margin for each match played; records are updated after every meeting; stats available include T20 matches played as well as ODI matches; data can be easily navigated and can be sorted according to date match or point percentage based on other factors e.g date/match/point percentage sorting options available for easy navigation purposes.
