Rajasthan Royals Vs Punjab Kings Match Scorecard

Rajasthan Royals Vs Punjab Kings Match Scorecard has a separate craze among many of the betting enthusiasm to get the clear crystal clarity about match winner. But how it gives so much information about the match winning prediction. Let’s see.

Rajasthan Royals fell to Punjab at Guwahati due to a slow pitch. Hetmyer made a superb unbeaten 63 to guide them past. Rabada and Curran’s wickets in the middle overs helped keep run rates under control for Rajasthan Royals.

Batting

Rajasthan Royals hope to avoid a bottom-two finish against Punjab Kings at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Guwahati when they face them already-eliminated in Guwahati on Thursday night. Jos Buttler remains away for England duty, Shimron Hetmyer is injured, and Rovman Powell also out, making life tough so far this season for Rajasthan Royals.

After suffering against Delhi Capitals in their last match, Rajasthan Royals would look to correct their errors and improve on their batting performance. Their batting lineup has been inconsistent over recent innings with only two fifty plus scores being achieved during this span. Some poor lower order performances may put pressure on batsmen.

Captain Sanju Samson will need to review how he manages his side and bring in fresh players if they wish to maintain playoff hopes. RR have had one of the lowest first ten over scores this season and lost 17 wickets during this time, which cannot be ignored when trying to chase 145 runs for victory.

Samson and Livingstone of the Royals started off well, but were unable to reach half centuries in their opening innings. With two quick wickets falling quickly for them, only their middle order came through to save them from further problems.

Kagiso Rabada struck in the eighth over to take out Livingstone before Harshal Patel caught an excellent low catch at third man to dismiss Samson for 18 runs off 14 balls with four boundaries.

RR brought in Dhruv Jurel as their opening batsman for their penultimate game of the season, replacing Hetmyer due to injury. Jurel hasn’t seen much action this season and it will be fascinating to see his performance on debut match day. Chahal bowled his opening ball full ball into Curran who hit it for four. A few singles followed before Avesh Khan was introduced into attack to provide some pace during that over.

Bowling

Punjab batsmen scored 226 runs during an exciting encounter against Rajasthan Royals; however, their opponents managed to hold on by two wickets for victory. Sanju Samson led with an outstanding 91 and was recognized with Player of the Match honours; Steven Smith and Rahul Tewatia made significant contributions with half-centuries each.

RR require 19 off the final two overs, and Riley Meredith starts by bowling an outside off full toss that Morris catches at an outside edge en route towards the keeper for a single. A single follows as Morris keeps the strike.

Riyan cuts the next ball and it passes by the bowler for another single. He then hits a short one for another run before the over concludes with a dot.

Livingstone begins his first over with a wide and dot, followed by two wide balls which Jaiswal hits towards point for two runs before missing an attempt at sixing it over covers.

Rabada was brought in for the final over of Kohler-Cadmore’s innings and conceded 77 runs over three overs, yet still bowled an exceptional eighth over that got Kohler-Cadmore to move toward long-on. In that over, Rabada delivered one of his finest deliveries yet; full and drifting slightly in, it got Kohler-Cadmore hopping and chopping in no time at all!

Sam Curran slapped it through square for a boundary on the off side, followed by another four off Avesh’s final ball! On a slow pitch, this was no easy task, with Sam’s century and Dhruv Jurel’s late cameo keeping RR in contention until their late collapse saw them fall just short of their target; regretful of missing such an opportunity but still top team, eager to recover in the next matchup. They may take heart in knowing they have won five home matches against PBKS with 16 wins out of 27 match-ups between them over their 27 previous clashes!

Fielding

Jos Buttler has been injured and replaced by compatriot Tom Kohler-Cadmore on the visiting side. Liam Livingstone and Kagiso Rabada have also sustained injuries that necessitate their absences.

Punjab got off to a strong start on an apparent belter of a wicket, but once Prabhsimran Singh got out, their run rate did drop slightly. Jitesh Sharma provided some relief to get their run rate back up, while Dhruv Jurel added 28 runs from 18 balls as part of an impressive comeback from their total scoreboard.

However, it was India’s death bowling which truly shone through, picking up seven wickets after the 16th over to limit Rajasthan to just 148 runs; their second lowest powerplay score this season. Chahal led this devastating performance as his 30 wickets against them this season were instrumental to their downfall.

Rajasthan were always behind in terms of run rate, losing two wickets consecutively overs. Hetmyer’s late innings fireworks gave Rajasthan hope of mounting a comeback and 16 needed off their last over.

Hetmyer started the final over with a six to keep RR’s hopes alive, before trying for one off Sam Curran but mishitting and having the ball fly past midwicket for a boundary. Now Hetmyer remains unbeaten at 71 off 62 balls with 12 fours and three sixes to his name in an extraordinary final over performance that has earned him Player of the Match honors. Hetmyer admitted he was initially nervous but tried to draw energy from Powell at the other end. It was pleasing to get their first win after such a long wait but Hetmyer remains optimistic they can keep winning moving forward. The Caribbean star believes there is depth within their side that needs to be utilized fully going forward; He thanked their bowlers for keeping them competitive throughout.

Statistics

RR and PBKS’ rivalry has long been one of the fiercest in IPL history, having met 28 times during IPL play – with RR winning 16 matches to 11 for both sides. Every time these two sides clash, their matches always provide exciting spectacle; both rely on well-balanced, strategic play while PBKS has an aggressive, fearless style which keeps opponents guessing! Their clashes always provide suspenseful drama; making these encounters highly anticipated on IPL schedule.

The Royals have endured an inauspicious start to this season, winning just 8 out of 12 matches so far and suffering their third consecutive defeat against Delhi Capitals last Saturday, further diminishing their hopes of qualifying for playoffs. If they wish to qualify they must improve their net run rate (NRR) substantially and hope their results go in their favour as quickly as possible if they want any chance at making them.

Punjab are currently enjoying much greater success. They’ve won four out of their last five matches and currently lie third in the points table; one point back of SRH for fourth spot – meaning victory against RR would put them firmly into top two contention.

Both teams can score big totals, but bowlers will play an instrumental role in the match at ACA Stadium. Royal Challengers spinners – Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravindra Jadeja specifically – have shown great form in recent matches; however, their lack of pace bowling depth may prove decisive.

PBKS’ attack has also been in excellent form this season. Ajay Devgan has already claimed 13 wickets this year and remains in great form; but Jofra Archer could prove crucial for their visitors’ cause in this high-scoring game; his sheer pace and pinpoint accuracy could unsettle even the finest batsmen, potentially changing the course of the match with just a few deliveries, turning an ordinary match into something thrilling!
